Meet
Drew Barker-Wright – he’s currently in Birmingham Children’s Hospital
suffering from an aggressive Rhabdoid Tumour. These tumours are often
malignant and are extremely rare. They commonly start in the kidneys,
but cells from malignant Rhabdoid Tumors in children can also spread to
other areas of the body like the brain or lungs.

In
Drew’s case the tumour, which initially presented at the base of his
skull has now spread. He will now have to undergo prolonged sessions of
chemotherapy at Birmingham Children’s Hospital to see if they can reduce
the size of the tumour before proceeding with any further treatments.
