Sorry to post this up here again but a family from my hometown desperately need help to get treatment for their 18 year old daughters rare cancer over in the states since there are no doctors in Ireland or Europe qualified with treating the disease and our government won’t fund any treatments sought outside Europe! Please reblog so that someone out there may see it that can help!

Shauntelle:  “It’s childhood cancer awareness month & this is the true, raw, reality of it. This is the face of it. This is the body of trauma. Cancer has truly ruined me, put me on a leg bag, catheters and tubes coming out of the bottom of my stomach, my stomach ruined because I’m constantly forced to inject myself with another medication because of all of the “chemo side effects”.. It’s too much. 5 chemotherapies is crossing the line, it’s affected me, I can no longer concentrate, my vision is worse, my hearing is even more terrible than it was before, I’m so weak I can barely make my bed, I feel so worthless. My memory, there may aswell be no memory. I don’t remember anything anymore, it’s affected me mentally and physically, ruined my body, made me so bloated, ruined any bit of confidence I had. Stripped my head of hair, leaves me with lesions all over my body that ache and burn. I’m so sick of living this way, cancer has forced my whole life to change, turned my families life into constant fundraising because I had to be rare and the only specialist is in Texas. $500,000 & I’m not getting any bit closer. My positivity has vanished, things are only getting worse, this happens to 1 in 4 children & it’s not fair.” #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth #thetruth
